About this product.

Design and use

The AX2010AV2 is an update of the AX2010A and is mechanically and electroacoustically compatible with it. It is built for both rental and fixed installation work. Setup is quick, with flying hardware built into the cabinet.

Acoustic design

  • Two 10" woofers with aluminum voice coils, back-loaded by a short transmission line
  • Two 1.4" titanium-diaphragm compression drivers on transmission-line waveguides
  • Symmetrical woofer-tweeter-woofer layout with a crossover near 900 Hz
  • 110° x 10° coverage and 138 dB maximum peak SPL

Processing and amplification

CORE2 processing runs on a 40-bit floating-point SHARC DSP with 24-bit converters. Four presets cover standard, long-throw, down-fill or single-box use, and a user setting. PRONET AX software controls each unit over a CANBUS network.

Class D amplifier modules with switch-mode power supply and power factor correction deliver 1,400 W + 1,400 W.

Construction

The 15 mm reinforced phenolic birch cabinet has an aluminum Fast Link front suspension and a steel rear suspension with 1/4" Fast Pin. Net weight is 90.4 lb (41 kg).
