Construction

The case is made of scratch-resistant 5-ply marine plywood with 7 mm phenolic gluing. The water-resistant lid and phenolic gluing keep humidity from warping the case. They also make it highly resistant to heat.

Protection

  • Heavy-duty steel corners guard the weakest points and keep the case body off other surfaces
  • High-density Ethafoam polyethylene lining absorbs impacts and provides thermal insulation
  • Aluminum profiles, including a reversible edge profile that aligns the lid and gives an airtight seal
  • Steel hinges with a 90-degree lid opening and built-in steel butterfly latches
